I use hand-drawn pictures, collage elements, texts, and blocks of color to tell stories that reflect my background, experiences, and world views. I work as a writer, so text in various shapes, sizes and formats allows me to acknowledge that part of myself. I am challenged by viewing the world as a space filled with abundance and wonder. Much of my work draws on childhood memory filled with magical worlds, terrifying unknowns, curious findings, and the presence of imaginary friends and protectors.
